Anyone have a plus size Mom?

Hi ladies, I am starting MOB dress shopping but I don't think she is going to fit into the samples...She lost 14 lbs so far and is shooting for another 15. Is there somewhere we can go where they have larger samples? David's Woman or something?

i've gone to a few stores with my mom. it's very frustrating.

try queen of hearts in bellmore. they are all plus size samples. also 'totally you' in bellmore.

stay away from sugarplum. i walked out after a few minutes..what a waste of time

Mine is. She bought her dress at Moonlight Couture in Merrick. She decided to put two dresses together (the dress of one and the jacket of another). They have a combination of sizes and was able to try on a size 20 of one dress, the other dress she used the sample was only a size 12.

Lynbrook Bridal in Lynbrook has plus size gowns to try, as well as Angel Bridals in East Islip.

I'm going to second Queen of Hearts. My mother bought the gorgeous dress she wore to my sister's wedding there. She was able to try on lots and lots of dresses, and some of the sample were even big on her - which she loved, since that practically never happens.

My mom got her dress at Dimensions in Cedarhurst. They are a plus size dress shop with sizes that go up to the 30s. My mom is a rather modest dresser. This is her dress:

you might want to try bridal suite of bayshore.

i dont know about dresses other than weddingones there..but they had wedding dresses in up to 26 to try on... xox

This is a tiny little store but they have nice dresses. My mom is a plus sized women and we went all over looking for dresses that she could try on. We finally hit it at this place.
