Questions about addressing invites

If you are inviting an unmarried couple who live together - do you list them by who you know better, or alphabetically by last name?

If you are inviting an unmarried couple who do not live together but are dating seriously, do you mail it to 1 person but put both names on the outer envelope? or just 1 name on the outer and both on the inner?

Also, are you planning on doing Miss or Ms?

Sorry for all the questions. This gets so confusing!

Re: Questions about addressing invites

I was at the library tonight looking up etiquette to try and find an answer to an argument FH & I were having and "The Blue Book" of wedding invites said, unmarried couple living together the woman's name goes first. Unmarried couple that are dating and not living together - if you know both well you can send out separate invites but make sure they are addressed individually no "and guest" on the inner envelope, OR you can send invite to person you are friends with and address outer envelope to that person alone, and include SO's name on the inner envelope.
