Crescent Beach Club Brides

Hi, my fiance and I are planning our wedding for September 2006 and would love to have a small wedding of 100-120 guests on the beach or even waterfront. Does anyone know of a place within an hour of Manhattan that will accomodate us for around $100 with the minimum of 100-120 guests?

We are open to Sunday or Saturday afternoon weddings and are flexible with dates. We just want to be able to have the ceremony outdoors for photographic purposes.

We have heard about the Crescent Beach Club and would love to hear feedback from those who have researched that reception location or who have gotten married there.

Is there a church nearby? I heard the Planting Fields is 10 minutes away and will allow you to take picture there. Does anyone know how much it will cost to take pictures or have a ceremony there? Thanks in advance for your input!

Re: Crescent Beach Club Brides

Hi and welcome to the boards!!!!!! Congrats.

I can't help you w/ specifics, but my bro got married at the Crescent. The wedding was fabulous, but they paid much higher than $100 & that was 5 years ago for a Sat. afternoon wedding in July. The location is fabulous though. They got married at, I think its' St. Gabriels'(?) in Bayville, like 2 minutes away.

I know there's a number of Crescent Beach Brides on here though...

Re: Crescent Beach Club Brides

Hi all, thanks for your responses so far, they are definitely helpful. Anyway, I emailed Crescent Beach Club and was told:

'Based on 100 guests as a minimum, a Sunday afternoon Reception {12-5pm} in September 2006 will be in the $135-$155 per person range plus a 20% service charge and NY sales tax'

I'm wondering why the price I was quoting for a Sunday afternoon wedding is so high. Is it because I can only guarantee 100 guests? And won't Sunday night weddings be more expensive than a Sunday afternoon wedding?

JennyAl, How were you able to get 95 pp deal in May? the I would be interested in booking there since so many have said the place is lovely, food is great, but the price is turning me off abit so far.

Re: Crescent Beach Club Brides

At the CBC, Saturdays and Sundays I was told is the same price.. Nights are obviously more expensive but you need to guarantee 150 people minimum. I had to go for a day wedding since i could only guarantee 125. And their busy season ends the third week of October, which is why ANY day on a weekend is going to be that expensive. FM me if you have any questions!
