Re: Black & White Photography

My photographer shoots film...has two cameras, one for color, and one for b&w...I never heard of a photographer that specializes in just black & white...That being said, I have heard of photojournalistic vs. traditional photographers; film vs. digital...

I'm using Marianela Vera (www.nellavera.com) and her prices and packages are listed on her site.

from his website:

'But it's my available-light (no flash) black and white film work that sets me apart even from NYC's most expensive wedding studios. I routinely shoot weddings of couples where 'money is no object' because of my black and white film skills.'

Re: Black & White Photography

I have seem all b/w albums at Duet. They shoot digital and can make it b/w in post production. I am taking photography now and we only use available light photography b/w film. It's such a great effect! I love b/w but want the option for my wedding pics. I also have gone to the digital loving side b/c of what they can do in post-production- removing bags under eyes, soften lines...good luck!! Talk to photographers about what you want!

Re: Black & White Photography

Our photog was mainly a photojournalist. I have 1/2 B&W. He did a beautiful job...I have another shot BW in my profile if you want to see.

Edited: PS, he's really old school and uses a different camera for BW, so he doesn't do some of the advanced things a lot of the photogs do, but we were very happy with the quality of his work.
