Re: nwr...curves???

Honestly, if you are looking to shed a few lbs, or like a dress size, I wouldnt reccomend curves. They werent very helpful in terms of diet support and their cycle of weight and machines dont even have weights on them. I say grab a friend and jog, or hit a class.
I was BY FAR the youngest in the class. I never went back

Re: nwr...curves???

I think that if you just motivate your self and if curves is going to help then do it...all you realy have to do is get some excerising in

Good Luck

Re: nwr...curves???

I do Weight watchers and it is sooooooo paying off. . This week alone 4 people were like you look amazing and I went jean shopping and I am back in my size that I was when I was in high school. Eat less, work out and you will be fine.

Eat half of everyting .. My mom does curves and she loves it but I do WW and it works for sure. Best of luck..

I go to the gym every day NYSC and I meet with a trainer 2X a week. I did 3 for my engagment party but back to two until APril I will go back to 3 for the wedding. Let me know if you need any tips.

Re: nwr...curves???

I joined Ladies Workout Express. Similar to curves, but different too.
A thing that I learned from a friend is this:
Curves machines only have hydrolics in one direction, so when you are working out, there is no resistance in one direction.
Ladies Workout Express has dual hydrolics so you are getting a more productive workout.
The 30 minutes isn't always the same. Sometimes it is 30 seconds twice around or 1 minute once around. Or they have you move back and forth (foward one back two). I find it just enough after working a full day.

I actually just joined Curves to get toned because I have a treadmill at home for cardio. Some of their machines do have dual hydrolics. The ones that don't are the ones where it will not benefit you to have the machine push against you. I think any type of exercise is better than nothing at all. Do what works for you!

I go there, too! The one in West Islip also offers classes (Pilates, Kickboxing, etc.). I love it there....
