Re: How many of you brides have a wedding planner ?
At East Wind they have wedding planners as a complimentary service. I have been using the planner as someone to run questions by, see what prices are right and to ask about certain vendors. I find it nice to have someone to talk to and ask questions who is a professional and knows what they are talking about. For example he helped me make up my budget for flowers.

I was thinking of a DOC but honestly I think my family/friends can handle putting up my DIY pew decorations in the church!

Re: How many of you brides have a wedding planner ?
We are using a company. Only because the wedding is taking place in St Lucia (West Indies). Must admit I don't think I could of managed to put this wedding together without them, they are proving to be wonderful thus far. We do all communication via e-mail and phone. Of course the proof will be on arrival on the island, as we are not having the usual destination wedding package.

Re: How many of you brides have a wedding planner ?
There are usually different levels of wedding planners - from full service to DOCs. My DOC, Michelle Nocella, is a full service wedding planner also. Here is a link to her site where she gives a good description of the different packages she offers.HTH

Re: How many of you brides have a wedding planner ?
I thought about getting one since I am in Los Angeles and the wedding is in NY and I am the biggest procrastinator. My friend's girlfriend was just certified as a wedding planner and was starting a new business and she offered to do mine for free, but then they broke up and she said it was too painful to do.
I ended up doing it by myself and with the help of you lovely ladies.

Re: How many of you brides have a wedding planner ?
I'm having a DOC but know plenty of other brides having a wedding coordinator. I am a wedding planner also so i am biased of course, but having a wedding planner is so worth it. If you are really busy or just want a creative wedding. JMO
