My FI and I opted for nature instead of a place of worship as we could not find any place that both of us were comfortable with. We are in the same situation as you and your FI. We are getting married at the base of the Montauk Lighthouse overlooking the ocean. We both feel that the intended Presence will be with us. Good Luck. I hope you find a place that will make you both happy.

How about opening up the phone book for long island and looking up chapels and/or places of worship. This way you might be able to find a place. I know that there are a few places out on long island that do these kinds of weddings. I know what you are going through b/c I'm in sort of the same situation as you, I'm Jewish and my FI isn't, he is Catholic. Best of luck to you!

I have the same situation - I'm Jewish and my now-husband is Catholic. If you don't mind my asking, how are you raising the kids?
