Advise - 2 weeks to go

We're getting married exactly 2 weeks from today and although everything is pretty much all set, I can't help but feel I'm forgetting something. Any advise on what responsibilities to delegate for the big day? There seem to be so many details to think about I don't where to start.

Some advise

Give someone the job of getting people for your family shots. We were taking our's outside our reception place before the cocktail hour and I had to keep sending people in to get my family. I should of done that before that day. (Make a list of some key pictures you would like and give it to a bridesmaid and tell her to take it out when your taking your pictures and give it to the photographer.

Some advise

Make a list now or go to theknot.com and get one of their lists. If you keep a running list you will not forget anything. Make sure to relax when you can. You have done so much work up till now, you need a few 'off' days before the big day. Good Luck.

Advise - 2 weeks to go

In addition to Junebrides advice, make sure the key people in the family know you will be calling on them at a specific time to be photographed. As them to come together at a certain time and place so it's easier to round them up. The most confusing part for me on my wedding day was a sort of general 'what are we supposed to be doing next' feeling. There was no Stage Manager. This is where a wedding coordinator would have been a big help - someone to oversee it all, instead of the banquet manager doing their part and the photographer handling theirs, etc. In lieu of having a wedding coordinator, I'd suggest that now is a good time to play the roll of wedding coordinator and map out the whole day with a time line starting in the morning and proceeding thru the day. Share this info with key members of the bridal party so they are not all coming to you with questions when you'd rather be enjoying the moment. In short - it helps a lot if all the 'cast members' know in advance what they are supposed to do in detail. Get into great detail with your list - - Who is getting ready at what locations - When are the flowers arriving - How are they getting distributed to the right people - When is the photographer arriving - When does everyone have to be ready - What photos are being taken at home or hotel, before the ceremony, after the ceremony, etc. - Who needs to be available at what location, - When is the limo arriving, etc Also - have a list with contact info for all the key vendors and a copy of your contracts - just in case someone needs to make a call.

Karen H (you were so right.....

I too didn't know what was supposed to go next - and if I had thought about it I would of (We've all been to a million weddings) but some how when it's yours it's like you've never been to one. That was great advise about mapping out your day and let your wedding party know - I really needed for someone to say to me (ok now go around to the tables) some how I missed that part... so very good advise -

Also, Relax and make sure to eat regulary. I lost over five pounds in the four days before my wedding. If I'd lost any more, my strapless dress would have fallen off! So take this time to do all the last minute things and leave the three days leading to THE day for relaxing (as much as that is possible)
