Just curious, Is any one starting a family right away?

My girlfriend got married 2 months ago, and she's trying to get pregnant already. I'm 26 and I want to enjoy being a wife for a while. I 'm looking forward to spending quality time with my FH, maybe in 2 years we'll decide to have a baby, but not now, i'm just wondering what everyone else is doing, Good luck to everyone, and happy planning! Heidi

Although we would love to start a family right away (we're both 32), we decided to wait at least a year. You're newlyweds only once and we would like to prolong the feeling. Can't wait to have a baby though!

If I were 26 I would be waiting to. But we a older and ready now - so we are keeping our fingers crossed. Even my FI 3 yr old niece is hoping for us. She asked me if I could get a little girl for her to play with after I marry her Uncle John. - Talk about presure - I thought my Mom was bad :)

Waiting about 1 year before starting

I will be 32 when I get married so I do not want to wait too long but I want to enjoy a year of just me and him, save for a house and go on a nice trip together to Italy. After that I will begin to try.

Both FH and I will be 30 and will have been together for 5 years by the time our wedding rolls around, so I don't think we'll be waiting too long before we really start trying... Did someone say honeymoon baby???

Just curious, Is any one starting a family right away?

I will be 31 by the time we get married, and my FH will be 30. I was pretty much ready to start having children about a year ago, so I don't want to wait. He would like to wait a year. So how about a compromise - 6 months!! :) Seriously, if we have a house then sooner, if not, then later!

I'm 24 and my new husband is 32 so I think I would like to wait longer than him but neither one of us are in a rush, definitely not for a couple of years. Good Luck!!

We are waiting at least a year before trying. It's amazing how many brides on here are in their 30's (me included), definitely a sign of the times!

I would love to...

My fiance and I will be together for 9 years when we get married. We're both 24. I wanted kids years ago. I just love them. My fiance said if we can afford it after we get married then we could. But how do you know if you can afford one??? No one can ever really afford one. I think a honeymoon baby would be great! I'm ready. I know I'm young but I am. We've been together for a long time and we've been living together for a couple of years, so I would love to have a baby as soon as possible!!! I've had names picked out for years now. I CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE ONE!

We are thinking we will wait at least a year. I would say one year and my FH would probably say two years. We want to enjoy each other and save some money. Only time will tell!

I don`t want to wait too long

I already live with my fiance, so we`re already doing all the things married couples do! Right after the wedding, we`re going to look for a house. After that, we'll be ready!
