Rings - check!

After about 2 months of nagging, FH and I finally went to just try on rings at the mall. Yes the wedding is in three months (less now actually) but who is counting. We planned on buying plain bands so it wasn't going to be very hard to choose. We have a friend who is getting us the plain bands at cost which allows us to BOTH get platinum and we ordered them through her - the same person who got my e-ring for us. Visually, they arent spectacular or ornate, pretty conservative 4mm platinum comfort fit. I was actually surprised that he went for a white metal - I thought for sure he'd go for yellow gold. He knows I want an eternity band some day, probably for an anniversary, but it isn't a priority right now. Diamonds would set us back money that we could use for the wedding and honeymoon expenses. I am using my mom's ring for the ceremony and moving it to my right hand to wear afterwards. Hers is white gold. I wanted platinum next to my ring. Im excited.

She told us it would take a few weeks. It bugs me that I had to ask him over and over to do this small task but its done and we will have them in time. I guess that is the important thing!

What I have left:

- Programs (waiting on an email from the Rabbi but I have my basic lay-out done)

-Invitations are with the calligrapher who will have them done on December 8th...

-...to be mailed on the 12th come hell or high water.

- picking our menu - not to be done until 2 or so weeks before the wedding

- run-through at the Temple with the Florist (one month before wedding) to discuss where everything goes

- meeting our band leader next month to give more $$$ and discuss songs (ANOTHER thing FH has yet to decide on)

- visiting my dress on the 29th

- dyeing my wedding shoes from white to pearl - yes I have to do this - people will see them and they are different shades

- cutting my hair - YAY

- getting my headpiece and veil.

I am sure there are lots of other things I am leaving out but nothing major and nothing to really stress over.

Thanks! I of course had to remind him that just because I am not getting an eternity band now, that it doesnt mean I dont want one. And he turns to me and says 'Well if we plan on getting pregnant after the wedding, then we certainly can't afford it right away.' Needless to say he shut me up. He is starting to freak out a lot less about kids - GOOD SIGN!!!
