OMG so scary

I was home with my mom (we live in a building) in a very good neighborhood so all of a sudden theres like 15 cops here and theyre knocking on everyones door on the 4th floor. someone had seen someone climb through the window form one of the fire escapes. so for 30min. the cops have been on the fire escape and banging on that apt. door. Finally they broke the window went in but they all just left so i guess no one was inside. but thats really scary :(

i've lived here since i was 5 and nothing ever happened and now i'm freaked out.what if there really was robber/rapist who knows and hes in another apt right now i'm scared
