Re: Maid of Honor in different color dress????

I did that! My MOH would have looked AWFUL in champagne, so I put her in black.

Re: Maid of Honor in different color dress????

I don't have a picture (MOH's DH too lazy to SCAN), but I wore a different color than the other Bridesmaids in my MOH's wedding, as her MOH. They wore light pink, I wore lilac.

Re: Maid of Honor in different color dress????

The BM's are wearing a celedon dress with a pink sash. The MOH is wearing a different dress in the same pink that is in the BM sash. I don't have any pics on my computer at work. The most important thing to me was that everyone was happy. My MOH didn't feel comfortable in the same dress as the BM's and she also felt happier with the pink instead of the green.

Re: Maid of Honor in different color dress????

IMHO, I think if you put the moh in a different color, I don't think she looks special.... I know the purpose of putting moh in a different color is to make her stand out, and where she stands out in pics, at the wedding, she looks like more of just a guest than a moh.

I think that is a very good idea... it still shows she is part of the Bridal party, but makes her stand out.

Re: Maid of Honor in different color dress????

My girls are wearing sable dresses (it has a band at the waist and at the top also in sable)...my MOH is wearing the same sable dress with the bands in champagne. I think this way she wont stand out too much..its subtle.

Re: Maid of Honor in different color dress????

My 2 MOH are in a similar dress. If they are dressy enough they will still look like they are in the BP. I went to one wedding where the BM were in choc. Brown and the MOH was in a taupe with choc brown ribbon at the waist. Here are mine: The dresses will all be eggplant with ivory (the BM dress preview only allows black...

For MOH

For BM

Re: Maid of Honor in different color dress????

I like the idea of a darker shade than the bridesmaids. But, I have my MOH in the same color, but different dress, same designer. You can do so many things.

Re: Maid of Honor in different color dress????

My MOH will be in a sort of peony pink, and my BMs will be in a raspberry. Sorry, I don't have pics.

Re: Maid of Honor in different color dress????

I'm thinking of doing this. Honestly, I'm going to leave it up to my MOH if she wants to wear a different color. My colors are wine red and sage green.
