Since we're talking about hair: would you get extensions to get your dream wedding hair? poll!

I'm not big on extensions, but I may need them to get the big wedding hair I want. Just a poll to see how everyone else feels about using extensions just for wedding hair.

Re: Since we're talking about hair: would you get extensions to get your dream wedding hair? poll!

I've got a ridiculous amount of hiar so I can't imagine I would have needed them for any hair style but I don't see what would be a reason not to. One of my BM's wears them all the time!

If you use them for one time, do they just fall out afterwards, or do you go to the salon to take them out. I guess I fear the hair coming out on my honeymoon.

I bought the producst myself (hair/glue/glue remover) about $40, my hairdresser will put it in for about $80, and then whatever the cost of a 'hair style' is - ie' $45+

Re: Since we're talking about hair: would you get extensions to get your dream wedding hair? poll!

I am having them put in, but I don't think we are talking about the same kind. I bought Yaky human hair, and Tarale sewed toupee clips on the binding. She'll clip them close to the roots of my real hair. They aren't the kind that last for weeks, I will be taking them out as soon as i get home. There wasn't an extra charge to do this, but I don't know who else besided her does it. She isn't doing weddings in 06.

Really? So only about $120. Is your wedding hairdresser putting them in, or your regular hair dresser?

I think it'll be a little more than that, but I think the MAX is $200.

My regular hair dresser is the same as my wedding hairdresser.

Re: Since we're talking about hair: would you get extensions to get your dream wedding hair? poll!

They have hair extensions called hair locs that don't use glue or heat to attach to your hair, so there's no damage to be done to your real hair. I'm sure it's expensive because they use real hair and they're designed to be used over and over again.

I'm in the process of looking into it, so once I find something out, I'll post it on here.

Re: Since we're talking about hair: would you get extensions to get your dream wedding hair? poll!

I also had extensions in my hair, but they werent permanent. She just stuck them in with pins and at the end of the night and pulled them out. They were no extra charge. Were you looking for semi-permanent or clip in?

If I wind up doing half-up half-down I'll get extensions.

Does clip in stay perfectly the whole night? I didn't think about that. You can't see the clips?

If you want an updo you may be able to get just a hairpiece instead of extensions. My friend did this for a recent wedding.

If it aint attached to my head before my wedding day, it wont be attached ON my wedding day. It isnt my style. In fact, I wish I could cut off the hair I do have.

I'm getting the permanent ones. Expensive $1300 buckaroos, but I have such short hair and it won't grow for the life of me. It used to be down to my butt and I cut it off about 10 years ago and it won't grow back
