help-having the ceremony @ reception hall
When you get married at the reception hall, do people normally hire a band or something to play the bridal procession, or is that included in the site fee? How does that work, I'm lost......

we had ours at the catering hall and hired our DJ for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Some places have music they can play during it though, you need to call and ask

We are having our DJ supply the ceremony music. I didn't want to spring on live musicians (harpist, violinist) b/c we are spending enough as it is & our DJ gave us a good deal. I wouldn't count on the hall for my music though.

we have a band and they asked us about the ceremony and when we told them it was at the hall, they said they would provide the music. Not the whole band, just two pieces (Keyboard and a singer.) They are also providing music for hte cocktail hour.

I asked my hall, and they said the DJ normally provides the microphone for the ceremony as well as the music. I have now changed things and I'm getting married somewhere other than the hall, but my DJ is still providing music and microphone, and he's doing it for the same price as if I was doing everything in one location.

Us to, it was much cheaper and its only a 1/2 hr ceremony. I don't think most halls do music for the cermony

We're doing that and our DJ is providing the music. If it's a nice day and we have the ceremony outdoors, our place has the hookups for speakers.

Because we are having our ceremony at the same place, they provide the equipment needed so that our officiant can speak and our dj play the music we need.
