Labor Day Weekend Brides (and anyone who wants to help)

Are you having/did you have a theme for your wedding. If so, what was it?

Also, what colors are your BM dresses.

I am stuck between summer or fall themes/colors.

Any imput would be fantastic! TIA

Re: Labor Day Weekend Brides (and anyone who wants to help)

Just because your date falls between seasons, doesnt mean you have to do a certain thing. Everyone told me I should do a fall theme because my date happens to be when the leaves are falling and all that, but I didnt want to, so we are doing a 50's chic theme...very old New York...do what you want, you could really go either way, what is your favorite color, start from there..HTH

I did get married on September 4, 2005. I wore an Ivory gown and my BMs wore Dusty Rose. Since it was early September I think that this color was quite fine.

Re: Labor Day Weekend Brides (and anyone who wants to help)

I got married a few weeks after Labor Day, but I still used summery colors (my BMs wore a light pink). I like lighter colors and since we were married outside on the beach, I chose summer colors. I think you'd be fine choosing either.

Re: Labor Day Weekend Brides (and anyone who wants to help)

I'm a Labor Day bride and I'm not having a theme, not really into that.
I haven't picked out my bridesmaids dresses yet but the color I'm going for is burgundy/merlot color, I love it!! I was a little concerned if it was too dark for early Sept. but I'm still going w/ it.
Good Luck!!

Its definately appropriate to use burgandy/merlot. I think that is what a lot of Sept brides go with.

We didn't have a theme either and our girls also had burgandy dresses. Our colors were burgandy pink and white/ivory.

I will be married next year Labor day weekend, and I 'm using a fall theme, eventhough it's still considered summer. The colors for my MOH's, and BM dresses are Euro champagne/Euro Sable. Here's a pic

Re: Labor Day Weekend Brides (and anyone who wants to help)

I got married Sept. 4, 2005 and used summer colors. My BMs were in light blue, and my flower girls were in white and light pink. No theme...don't care for themes. There's no rules though...you can get married in the dead of winter and have your BMs in light pink...it doesn't matter anymore. My BM gowns:

Re: Labor Day Weekend Brides (and anyone who wants to help)

Hi! I'm getting married 09/02 and I'm doing both summer and fall colors. My BMs are going to wear apple green and have lionidas roses, shown below. I'm going to have ivory roses and hypericum berries. I'm trying to incorporate both seasons.

Re: Labor Day Weekend Brides (and anyone who wants to help)

It's up to what YOU really want.. my wedding was 9/17 and originally I was going to do the Fall theme. But the hall was on the water, and technically it was still summer (trust me it was HOT) so I went with an ocean theme. :

Edited to add BM dresses
