OOT Guest info - Where to put it?(poll)
I am wondering how I can get the word out to my OOT guests about hotel information because I cannot assume they will visit our wedding website. Someone mentioned to put it in the envelopes with the invitations. Others said to make a separate mailing.I am not concerned about the price of additional postage with an extra mailing so thats not an issue.
My concern is just how many 'extra' things can I put in with our invites. We already have a folded invitation, inner and outer envelopes, response cards and direction cards. If I add something ELSE, it will look more like a package than an invitation. If we mail something else, people may think 'Ugh, them again?'
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I think most people expect that info w/ the STD's or the invites - so I would send it w/ the invites.

Re: OOT Guest info - Where to put it?(poll)
I would do it separate. If enclosed within the invite, they may not see it until the last minute. If they are anything like me, I juts look at the invite and return the reply card. Anything else in the envelope, like direction will stay in the envelope until I need them. I am not sure your OOT guests will realize that there is specific OOT info in the invite for them. JMHO

Re: OOT Guest info - Where to put it?(poll)
i put it in with the invites.... we didn't block rooms at one specific hotel, so it was just one extra peice of paper in with the invite that had the names, addresses and phone numbers of about 5 hotels in the area. it wasn't really a big package. most of the OOT was from DHs side, so his mom passed on the info about prices and more specific info abotu each hotel....i guess it really depends on how many OOT guests you have... but i think putting it in with the invite is fine

Re: OOT Guest info - Where to put it?(poll)
I sent them with my STD's but I'm also including them in my invitations. I'm just going to 'tuck' them behind the inserts of the pocketfold invites I'm using.Believe me, I contemplated having OOT Guest info made to match the invite, but then came to my senses about the unnecessary extra cost.

When I get to that point I'll be including it in the invitations.

I agree... plus it's easier for them to lose the OOT info if it's in a separate mailing. They are more likely to keep it all together if it all came together.

Re: OOT Guest info - Where to put it?(poll)
I put it with the invites and I actually inserted it between the RSVP card and the envelope so that they would see it when they replied. I also wrote that they needed to book by the RSVP date since that was the date that the hotel said I would loose all the unbooked rooms. I also wrote the price on them too.

My hotel provided cards indicating our block of rooms and when our OOT had to book by to get the group rate. On the back side of the card were driving directions to the hotel. I put that insert in with my invitations.

Re: OOT Guest info - Where to put it?(poll)
About 6 months before the wedding we sent out a mailing. A STD wih hotel information & information about our recent move. It was a letter on a piece of pretty paper. I then put the hotel info/direction card to the hotel in the invitation as well. I don't think it would be too much in the envelope.

I agree with both posts.
I also put the hotel information along with the directions and brunch info with the invitations and it wasn't too much. I think that if a guest is planning to stay at a hotel for your wedding they will look for that info in the invite.
Good Luck!
