I've been married for 6 months and 5 days..

and I still have done jack sh*te to change my name..

Now, I am going to legally hyphenate anyway and continue to use my maiden name professionally.. but still..

Any other slackers out there???

I also hyphenated and am using my maiden name at work. I went to social security and DMV, but I didn't change anything else (bank, credit cards, etc.), so although I am two steps ahead, I think I may actually be worse off legally, b/c now things are inconsistent. Long story short, I feel your pain.

I did some CC's, SS#, work stuff (insurance, benificiaries (sp), professional liscense, tax forms, 403B etc), DMV, dr offices (as I went to them), But there are still many cc's, the deed to the house, the mortgage and student loans.

It becomes a pain when everyone wants a fax. i don't have a fax machine and it really a pain.

LOL - i have been married 3 1/2 weeks and I went to social security yesterday!! I just want to get it over with - having a double identity is confusing!!

I brought pictures to Duane Reade to get developed and of course I lost the tickets and I couldnt remember what name i put them under!

Do you have to go to SS-- I thought you can do stuff online or mail it in?
