Hotel vs. Reception Hall????

What is the difference, if any?

Has anyone heard anything about the Hyatt Regency Wind Watch?

I have been to affairs at the Garden City Hotel and the Marriot and Hilton

Re: Hotel vs. Reception Hall????

Weel, I'd guess it's a matter of personal taste but I know a videograoher and he said that he'd have his wedding at a hotel b/c the service is better. He also liked Jericho Terrace. He mainly does Indian weddings so he hasn't been everywhere...

Re: Hotel vs. Reception Hall????

I dont think there is much of a difference-except that there are rooms at a hotel. My FSIL is getting married at a hotel...not sure the name...and we are using a reception hall. I think with most halls you get bridal attendants, I dont know if you get them at a hotel.

I JUST got back from my wedding weekend- and we had it at the Hyatt. Everything was fantastic..... and it was so awesome to have everything right there and the guests to be able to go right up to there rooms....

congrats amy!!!

i'm having my wedding reception at the hyatt as well, and i've heard nothing but raves about their food.

ETA: we chose a hotel over a reception hall because we wanted it to be more convenient for our out of town guests.

Re: Hotel vs. Reception Hall????

there's always the consideration of whether it bothers you to have other events/weddings etc going on at the same time. That is a big factor for some people, and not a factor at all for others.

Re: Hotel vs. Reception Hall????

There was a high school reunion at the Hyatt the night of my wedding- and no one cared/ noticed. The Hyatt is a huge hotel- plenty of room for everyone.

The food was delicious and ABUNDANT. My guests have been calling my parents and myself for 3 days to tell us how great it was.

Again, I cannot stress enough how wonderful it was to be able to justwalk upstairs to your hotel room after the party. My guests thoroughly enjoyed the party to the very end.....

Re: Hotel vs. Reception Hall????

Thanks.
Where did you take photos at the Hyatt? Did you get married there too?

I have no issue with more than one wedding at a time.

Re: Hotel vs. Reception Hall????

Technically The Inn at East Wind is a hotel but its all wedding guests. I'm a little concerned about random guests walking around in the lobby & peeking in my rooms but I prob wont care the day of.
