Re: NWR- ANYONE HAVE A GOOD SHRIMP AND PASTA RECIPE???
I have one,it's really good.1lb angel hair pasta
1tbsp olive oil
1tbsp butter
1lb cleaned and deveined shrimp
2 medium shallots diced
2 cloves garlic diced
three plum tomatoes diced
8-10 large fresh basil leaves cut into thin strips
( to do this take the basil leaves put them together on top of eachother, roll it up (like you're rolling a 'cigarette' ) than just cut the bunch to create long thin strips)
1/2 cup white wine
1/4-1/2 cup heavy cream
Salt & Pepper
Add the butter and oil to a large skillet. Add shallots and garlic and cook until tender (not brown) add the tomatoes & salt and pepper. Saute for 3 minutes while stirring everything together. Add the wine and let simmer until it reduces by half. Add the shrimp , when the shrimp become lightly pink all through add the cream slowly until the desired consistency is achieved add basil. Stir well.
