Centerpiece Giveaway Ideas

Ladies,
Please give me some ideas how to give away my centerpieces next week.

I don't want to pass the napkin or use the dollar bill idea.

Maybe have it go to the person whose birthday falls closest to your wedding day at each table?

I think i might do the bday one - closet to our date...or you could do the couple's wedding anniversary that is closest to yours - but that excludes any single people

Now, I have to figure out if the parents' birthdays will be the closest so they get the CP.

Seriously, it's a good idea. In the front of choices, but keep them coming please.

I need some ideas about this as well.

most of my guests are from OOT and will be leaving the next day.

do you think it will be ok to only give the CP's out to folks who live locally?

At my soon to be BIL's wedding August 2005, they just let the people figure out who was getting the CPs. Some folks went to other tables and took them at the end.
I saw a post that suggested putting a sticker underneath one favor per table and the winner takes all. However, I couldn't trust the staff to get that right while setting the tables.

I really wish I'd done a CP giveaway. It was one of those things that slipped my mind though. Actually, the idea I heard about that I should have looked into was a company that's just getting started in the NY area. Apparently, they'll come to your reception hall to pick up your CPs and they take them to local hospitals to put in patients' rooms . I thought that was a really nice idea.

We're having ours broken apart at the end of the evening and rolled up into individual bouquets so every female gets to take a bouquet home.

i went to a wedding where the favors were chocolates and who ever had 1 piece of white chocolate in theirs, got to take the centerpiece home!

Yes, I must admit, DANCE OFF WAS DA BOMB!!! But the thing is, you really need to have a room full of dancers! I knew we had a bunch of dancing freaks among us so it worked out well
