Re: hawaii honeymoon hotel...anyone heard of

We stayed in the Sheraton on Poipu! It was very nice for a Sheraton and mattresses were super comfy. The only drawbacks were :

- $25/day mandatory fee for all guests which get this ...includes 'complimentary' breakfast for two, local and 800# calls, parking (not valet), and guests services...
- it's not 1 large building. it's set up with the garden rooms in a complex on 1 side of the street w/a tiny pool and the ocean rooms on the other by the beach, in house restaurants, front desk, guest services and big pool.

We enjoyed our stay there but if our BEST stay was on Maui. We stayed in a condo that we rented from the owner & it was all redone recently with a King size memory foam bed & AC...so nice!

ETA - condo was nicer than our first Sharaton in Waikiki & was only $100 a night

Re: hawaii honeymoon hotel...anyone heard of

we originally booked the sheraton on kauai and then i got fm that the decor is stuck in the 1970's... and our travel agent agreed that we should switch our kauai hotel... so she is in the process of finding another hotel w/ similar rates for us.

Re: hawaii honeymoon hotel...anyone heard of

We were going to stay at the Outrigger Waikii on the Beach but ended up chosing The Hilton Hawaiin .... Everything was very positive that I heard about the Outrigger. You should check out www.tripadvisor.com

It was very helpful to me...

Also, a friend at work stayed at the Westin in Maui and said it was wonderful!!!

Re: hawaii honeymoon hotel...anyone heard of

LOVED the Shearton Kauai...great food, daily entertainment, maiu tai happy hour everyday, beautiful beach. Plus it was close proximity to so much

Also stayed at Ourigger Waikki....good location, but was hardly there, out sightseeing mostly.
