Wedding Gowns

Hello everyone! This week I start my wedding dress search! Does anyone have any good recommendations where I should look for a gown? Thanks!!

Hi!

I liked Demitrios and maggie sottero dresses so i found vendors that carried them.... Macy's in Manhassett has a bridal salon which I was kinda skeptical of at first. (so was my mother) But the service there was wonderful, and I liked their selection of dresses...

let me back up a second....the first place I went to was David's Bridal. The customer service was not like macy's, but the prices are very inexpensive. I just couldn't see spending 3 grand on a dress i will wear for 5 hours.

Macy's was more expensive, but well worth it. The ladies that helped me are great.

I second that! I ordered my dress from Macy's in Manhasset and am floored by the service so far. The ladies there are so pollite and extremely helpful. I also tried on dresses at David's Bridal in Westbury. I did have a good experience there and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Happy searching!

Searched for the dress I wanted...and once I found it I brought the item # and designer name to Burtons and they are ordering the dress for much cheaper than the fancy bridal salons.

Ditto, (searched online) although I did call all the LI bridal salons to find it and go try it on first.

me too. I did not want to spend alot on my dress either. They have a great selection, the service could be better, but for the price, you can't beat it.

Me too! Gerri was very helpful. I brought a picture of what I thought I wanted but she soon helped me to realize which styles was more flattering on me. I couldn't be happier with my choice.

best of luck !! I got mine at Davids Bridal if you go there check out there website to see the dresses and pick some out to try on because its crazy there and it is not one on one

I purchased my gown from Macy's @ Smithhaven Mall. Macy's price was a tad high, but I found a cheaper price through Netbride.com for the same gown and Macy's matched the price when I brought in the e-mail quote. My gown came from the Demetrios Couture line, as Macy's specializes in Demetrios gowns. Maybe other bridal salons will match lower prices that you find too. If you have something in mind, shop it. Good luck in your search.
