Repost from BHB: Bridesmaid alteration question

I posted this on BHB, but I figure that since a bunch of you just got married or are getting married soon, you could help.

How soon to the wedding did your BMs have their dresses fitted? Is it just one fitting?

Thanks!

Re: Repost from BHB: Bridesmaid alteration question

Most of them had their first fitting about 1 month before (my MOH had hers 6 weeks before). Most of the girls had 1 fitting and a final pickup to make sure everything fit. My MOH had a problem with the zipper so she had 2 fittings. My jr. bridesmaid had about 4 fittings in the last 2 months, but that is because she is 10 and they ordered the same BM dress for her in an adult size.

Re: Repost from BHB: Bridesmaid alteration question

Well considering my BM dresses took EIGHT months to come in, they didn't get altered until three weeks before the wedding (and one person who lived out of country two days before)...needless to say I was stressed!
