Nice day trip out east-what town?
My fiance and I are coming back to NY to finally settle on our reception location and I want to go out east one day and maybe rent bikes and ride around one of the nice towns. Can anyone tell me where a good place to do this would be? How about Sag Harbor? I've never been, is it worth it? I guess places we could go in Suffolk would be good also.

Thanks, I just checked out their website and that does seem like a good place to go. They're having a maritime festival the wknd we're there.

Sag Harbor is very nice, especially right after the summer! You can ride your bikes along the beach in a pedestrian lane and there are some cute shops in town if you're walking around. Good luck!

You could also go check out the wineries and farm stands, get some fresh LI produce. You must visit Breirmeiers Farms on Sound Ave in Riverhead for the best pies you ever had.
Horseback riding in Montauk at Deepdale stables.
Walk around Gosman's dock and shop and have Lobster!
Why is this now about food?

Re: Nice day trip out east-what town?
I grew up in Montauk so i'm a little biased, but i think you should do both Montauk and Sag Harbor. Montauk is great and if you like horseback riding, than definitely check out Deep Hollow Ranch. Its about $65 dollars for the beach trail i think and its worth it. There's also the lighthouse of course, and the dock area where you can have lunch at Topside and watch the boats come in. Plus they do have cute shops (which i think someone mentioned). I think Sag Harbor probably has the cuter shops though, but both are equally nice. FM me if you have any specific questions.
