Metarainan Manor wedding from a guest view

Well I went there last night w/ my SIL for a wedding, here is my review:
Ok I am going to be very honest so if you have booked it Im sorry

The cocktail hour was ok, not much selection of food and the wait staff walking around with food was not to knowledgable on what they were serving. They was 1 person for every 5 trays of food so the line was backing up quite a bit.
The reception I remember from one of my BM weddings the Prime Rib was very fatty, so I didnt get that, good thing because it was Grey, yes Grey. It looked terrible and according to the woman next to me it was very dry and over cooked. THe waitress didnt know what the appitizer was when I asked she said 'I dont know, maybe Fish?' How do you not know? I got the Chicken Franchaise it was better looking than the Prime Rib but so dry like it was sitting there. The bride had candle on the table that they never lit.
THe dj I dont remember who it was Thank GOd because they were so loud and obnoxious. He Screamed the entire night. And when he wasnt screaming he was hitting on everything in a skirt. He must have asked for my number at least 3 times.
The photographer wasnt prepared for any shot no assistant and kept forgeting the Flash bulb from the last shot.
The video guy was annoying, I cant stand when that damn light is in you face all night and his was, It seemed everytime we turned around yup he was there.
The Veinese Hour was so small, 1/2 the wedding went up and then there was nothing left, The selection was generic and the expresso was cold.
I am sorry for the review but better to here it now then from one of your guests.

Re: Metarainan Manor wedding from a guest view

Just to let the girls know who did book there- I got married there (Mediterranean Manor) in July and the food was amazing, there were plenty of appetizers, and as for the Viennese hour- they were going to give my parents 6 extremely large boxes with leftover cakes, etc. I know some people think this place has a bad rep- but I didn't have one complaint about it. The maitre'd and bridal assistant were dolls.

Re: Metarainan Manor wedding from a guest view

I have heard much more positives about the food and service than negitives. I am HAPPY with my selection.

BTW...what does the DJ and Photographer have to do with Med Manor's review? You can't comment on them unless you have names because then for the most part it means absolutely nothing except for the fact that you are just trying to add to the negitivity.

Re: Metarainan Manor wedding from a guest view

Doesn't the Meditteranean Manors package include the DJ and photographer?
Maybe I'm wrong? I thought they do a whole wedding there at a set price which includes basically everything.

If you want it to but even with that they have a little choice.

I have my own DJ and own photographer coming in.

Honestly I think it is hit or miss - close friends of ours went to a wedding there a few weeks ago and said the food was AWFUL, then FH's brother went to a wedding there last weekend and said the food was pretty good.
