BM Dress Prices

What is the average price of a BM dress? The one I picked out for my girls is $250. Is that a lot??? I know that they can wear it again (it's a simple tea-length cocktail dress from J.Crew).

Re: BM Dress Prices

mine are about 150 - i loved this dress that was a little over 200 but i felt like that was too much to ask someone to pay.

you know - plus shoes, plus hair, plus makeup, plus bachelorette party, etc. it all adds up!

Re: BM Dress Prices

In all honesty, for a J Crew dress, I feel that is a little much, but it's just IMO. You can usually get a full gown for that price. Do you know what the material of it is?

My girls are choosing their own gowns, and the range from $200 down.

Re: BM Dress Prices

my dress was 120 but at Phyliss' store in East Northport

http://www.gownfind.com/

I got the BM dresses for 95 bucks!!! And my FG dress for 85 bucks!!! Phyliss is wonderful!!! My Mothers dress was normally 600 and we got it from Phyliss for 290. The only catch is that you have to pay it in full. You can't leavce a deposit!!! Who cares?? For 95 bucks you don't need to leave a deposit!!!

I totally recommend her, as many brides on here did to me!!! She does amazing work, she is also a seamstress!!!! If you need a seamstress, or know what you want for your BM dress or even wedding dress, I say check her out, b/c she is the cheapest!!! It's b/c she owns her own store, so no one is getting the money but her.

Re: BM Dress Prices

They all range depending on the material of the dress.

I like that dress and $200 is not that bad, esp since they can def wear it again!

If they are the minority that can WEAR it AGAIN, then go for it!! As a BM, I wouldn't mind spending knowing it will come in use!!!!

what if you ordered them at the same time and apply for a jcrew credit card and save 10-15%.... that saves a little.. just a thought..

i love that dress!! (love JCREW!!) and they can wear it again and again - sooo - i would go for it -if they are ok with it..

i'm doing the same thing! the dresses are $178 at the bridal store but $129 with phyllis!

IMO $250 is too much to ask. especially for a j crew dress.

Re: BM Dress Prices

The gown I chose was $155, less 10%.

Will the dress from J.Crew need alterations? Do shops carry them, so you can see what they look like in person? These are two questions that would influence my decision about selecting that gown.

Thanks, I love it too! Honestly, I think that most BM dresses are so ugly and this dress fits with the style of my wedding AND it fits my wedding gown. I will definitely suggest the credit card to them. There was also a discount code on currentcodes.com!!!
