Just a suggestion

For those of you who are having an engagement party but arent yet registered somewhere-: My FH and I set up a travel fund. On the invitation we wrote in lieu of a gift we have set up a travel fund. This is good especially if you dont have a house yet to put everything.

Great idea!!!! Did u register with a travel agent or r u guys just going to put cash away ina special account?

hindsight is always 20/20

since we already have a place, we really didn't 'need' a lot of the stuff we registered for. we should have registered for our HM.

We're going to do that for our bridal shower. Crucon is most likely who we're going to book our honeymoon cruise through and they have a honeymoon registry that people can make donations to from $25 to $500. I think it's the best idea! We don't need anything for our home so this is the best idea for us (other than receiving monetary gifts, that is

Please don't kill me, but just be careful with that on an engagement invitation. The e-party is supposed to be to celebrate the engagement. Some people don't bring gifts. You shouldn't mention any reference to gifts like registry cards, etc. until the shower. Don't hate me, I just don't want anyone to get a bad response to that, you know? .

But I definately agree with you - that's a great idea!!! I got a gift certificate to my resort for the HM at the shower!
