What is the deal with Carltun On The Sound

My fh and i went to go see it on sat. and we liked it a lot. the price seemed fair and the hall looked very pretty (set up for someone's wedding). I tried to search for reviews of this place and found only some negative comments about it but not from anyone who has had their wedding there. I know the food is good b/c they have the same chef's from Carltun Park and i went to a party there. We liked the view of the water since we are having our ceremony there. Please help.

How many negative comments? If there was only negative and you saw more than one, even if it was from a guest, I would proceed with caution. I will say that I'm shocked about any negative feedback b/c I thought that place had a stellar reputation like Carltun on the Park. If you love the North Shore water view, did you look into Crescent Beach Club?

I posted on your other thread that the place used to be called Sail Harbor. It's not affiliated with any other Carltun, so it wouldn't necessarily have the same reputation.

If that is the case, try searching by the name Sail Harbor and see what comes up...

Carltun on the Sound is owned by The Carltun. I don't know about the food, prices, service but since it is owned by the Carltun, I am sure it is good.

Oops...you're right. I was confusing it with Carlyle on the Green for a minute (about the ownership). Duh.

We liked it to ( the location, havn;t had an appointment) Can you share info, what do they charge for a Sat. night? min. amount of people- Max?

I went there for a baby shower and the food and room and view were wonderful! Only thing is, you can't actually go on the beach.
