Past Brides! Need your advice/help!

Can you post pictures of your husbands and the groomsman in their tuxedos?????????
FH and I are having a disagreement on what he and the groomsman should wear! I want to show him pictures of other grooms/groomsman so he has a clue!

My guys wore black on black pinstripe Perry Ellis suits with platinum vests and silver ties. IMO they looked HOT! The pocket square was made from the same material as the BM dresses. Pictures and info in my review...

ok my dress is diamond white and then bridesmaids are in petal pink- it is a light pink

he refuses to have the guys in pink vests which is fine with me. I want them to be in black vests and him in a white vest, He says NO to the black vests...so I dont know what the heck he wants and how silver will look with light pink and pink and green flowers...

I think silver would look fine....it goes with just about any color!!

I am having the same dilemma with FH and my dad. They both think they should have bowties instead of ties. My FH already has red hair, I told him a bowtie might be going too far, especially when I asked him to wear a platinum vest and tie!!

yeah i am not a fan of the bowtie either, at least fh agrees on that! I really did not expect this to be an issue...he has basically agreed to anything i wanted... i guess i was getting too lucky!

Well, I think silver will definitely go. My dress was also diamond white and the BM's were in light blue. No one looked like they didn't 'belong' at all...I actually had my reader who's a close friend walk down with one of the GM and she was in fuschia...to me it still looked nice. Plus for a summer wedding those colors look great. The guys won't be carrying the flowers, they'll be near them...don't worry too much about 'matching' everything perfectly...IMO that color combo is fine.

NOW, he hasnt OKAYEd the platinum color, he just said NO black... SOOO what if he wants a color... I WILL be so unhappy, but right now we tabled the discussion... SOOO i cant ask him!

What color would be ok IF ANY?????

With pink? I would leave it at a neutral. If he doesn't like platinum they do have soft silver, almost white. I wouldn't do a color with pink and green. Another advantage to platinum or silver is that the BM's can wear silver sandals (like mine did...see pic above) and it could sort of 'play off' the guys' vests and ties. The bouts can also be a soft pink or in that family. My guys had mini mango calla lilies.

I would take a ride ot any tux place and get deas. It is worth a ride. th epeople there could probably give some really good recommandations.

Although time consuming...I would look through brides past reviews on The Bride's Review board for ideas and pictures...that way he can see images from actual weddings.

Know that my DH was also very opinionated about tuxes at first. The closer it gets to 'crunch time' the less likely he'll veto since things have to get done. We got our tuxedos the same month as the wedding...

Luckily, this could be done for guys because most places have them in stock and it's rentals...it's not like BM dresses that have to be ordered.

My GMs had grey vests w/ a grey/black striped tie. - My DH wore a Platnium Vest/tie ........
This pic is of me and my dad ....(all i have scanned) but he wore the same tux as the GM so you get the idea.

(Ps. - I wanted black vests too !!)

I had pink dresses on the girls and black vests and ties on the guys. DH had on an ivory vest and tie.

My DH had a black tux with a white vest and white tie. He had a pink rose bout with 2 white stephanotis to match my bouquet. The guys wore black tuxes with platinum vests and matching ties but with white (vendella rose) bouts. The girls had pink dresses. THere's a pic of DH's outfit in my avatar.

I actually made my guys wear lilac vest and bo ties They did it and not one guy complained! My DH wore white vest and bo tie
