The Pill -- please help me girls!

I did some research online, but I want to hear from girls who know first-hand...

I've never been on the pill -- I've been on Depo-Provera for about 5 years. Depo has been great for the most part -- I don't get my period, no weight gain or moodiness, etc. However, I finally figured out that my hair loss may be due to it (it is listed as a possible side effect). I've always had thin hair, but I had alot of it, you know? I've noticed it isn't as full as it used to be and Depo MAY be the cause of it.

So, I want to go off the Depo and start the pill. With so many of them out there, I'm not sure what is a good one. I'd like one that can help my skin (I still get breakouts from time to time), little or no break-through bleeding, and no weight gain (if possible).
Any ideas????

I have been on Mircette for three years and didn't gain much weight. No other problems.

That's what I am on. Maybe I gained weight from it, or maybe it was from eating too much. Hard to say.

Not usually. I did have breakthrough bleeding when I changed my period cycle for the honeymoon, but it only lasted 2-3 mos.

I took Alesse for a while - it is a low-dose pill and I had no problems with it at all. In fact, I was able to lose weight while I was on it.

I have been on Yasmin for about 3 years or so. I like it a lot, and my gyn highly recommends it.

Thanks for all your help! I'll ask the gyn about the orthotricyclen.

Orthotrycyclin-lo is great for helping clear up your skin. I've experienced no side effects with it either and I've been on it for years now.

Re: The Pill -- please help me girls!

I was on the pill and my skin wasnt great, I think the only thing that cleared it up was proactiv. I was also a bit sluggish and depressed on the pill. Im on the patch now and feel great!
