invites....can ivory or champagne paper with gold lettering work?

I really wanted to keep everything ivory/champagne and gold, but I am afraid it won't show up that well. has anyone seen/done this. I don't want to use black ink, and the other predominant colors in my wedding are deep pink and teal blue- I don't think I want to use either of these....

what do you think?

I THINK IVORY AND GOLD WILL WORK, THE CHAMPAGNE MAY JUST BLEND IN TOO MUCH......

I have a hard time with light lettering on light colored paper. I understand what you're trying to do, but I hate it when things are difficult to read like that. I would just go with the black lettering. JMO!!

Jess, I'm doing the same thing. Ivory paper with Gold Lettering....it'll work out fine. The ink is solid, and folks won't have a hard time seeing it at all.

The gold lettering is usually in the metallic range, and contrasted against a flat color like ivory, will enhance the lettering more.

Maybe you can get a sample first. I am thinking about doing a light color lettering as well.
