Tipping and Officiants...

They are showing up to marry you....charging a fee and not staying for the party. Do you give a tip on top of the fee???

We're not. The entire fee is going to him.

i think i am going to give them a tip of $50 or a restaurant gift card, not sure. i say they bc his wife helps him with everything and is there the day of to help out...we'll meet with them once or twice before the ceromony and they come a half hour early and help out and calm nerves, they are very sweet. ~lacey

What a great idea! I feel a little weird tipping since I am paying in cash anyway...

Re: Tipping and Officiants...

Our Officiant is getting paid A LOT of money. I don't think she needs a tip. I do know that she stays and eats at the CH.

Re: Tipping and Officiants...

Absolutely not!!! Our cantor charged $500 and our minister $350!!!!! This was straight cash that went into their pockets. I think that was enough!
