Watermill wedding cake
When I went to the Watermill showcase on August 3 I tasted the wedding cake and I wasn't too fond of it. Can anyone suggest a good wedding cake flavor that they offer? Also, I was wondering if anyone knows if the watermill will reimburse you if you get a cake from another bakery? Thanks

Really? I liked it a lot! I'm not sure if they'd reimburse.

Re: Watermill wedding cake
My sister (MOH) and I didn't like it. I think it was lemon or something like that. I've heard that the black forest is amazing though I think we'll just go with plain vanilla and chocolate cake. I'd like to go alittle more exotic with the fillings so I'd like to keep the cake simple. As for reimbursement, I would say no only b/c they're offering you a cake, you just aren't sure that you want to take it. I would check with your BM to be sure though.

to be honest, I work there and dislike the cake. At least 60% take the credit and buy there own cake. So, yes they do credit. As for another comment, Keep it simple, a lot of people don't care for exotic fillings

They credit? I am in shock! I was told that they do not credit. I asked my BM because my sister is a pastry chef and she is making my cake. They told me that she needs to sign a waiver and they would not credit me at all.Update: Just emailed BM and he said that he can add something extra for the toast or toward cocktail hour, yada yada.. feel better now.

I should clarify... When I say exotic I meant like Fresh strawberrys and vanilla cream!
I guess you could say when it comes to this stuff I'm not that exotic at all!!! Though it is good to know about the credit if that's the case, because I really wanted to get our cake from Audrey's in Sayville. She did our e-party cake and it was incredible!!!

Funny thing is, while I may like the taste..I'm not sure they offer the one I really like without charging more. I remember not loving the 'free' ones when I saw the book.Welcome New Vendors
