Ok, I am 26, but look much younger (especially when I'm dressed down).

When I was shopping for the MOB dress, the sales women were all like 'oh you're the bride? You're so young.'
In one of the stores the woman, while my mom was trying on dresses, came right out and asked me how old i am.
In another store the woman made a similar comment and right away i told her how old i am!!

This annoys me so much!!!!!
unfortunately, it happens all the time no matter what i'm doing.....

Try not to let it bother you that much. Think of it this way, you will look that much YOUNGER when you're really that much OLDER!!! Lucky girl!!!

They're all just jealous b/c they realize how phenominal you'll look at their age!

I get the same thing...I'm 24.5 (am I too old to use half in my age???) - LOL...and the FI is 29- do you know how many times he's asked if I'm 'Of Age Yet?'....GROSS.

JMO but you are soooooooooo lucky - i'm 22 but people always think I'm OLDER!!!!! I hate it I often get mistaken for late 20s early 30s and I try to dress 'youthful' - i like to think its my maturity and wisdom rather than my looks

PS the picture in my profile is actually a good photo that I dont think makes me look older

Omg, I know exactly how you feel!!!!! I'm 24 and I get that ALL the time!!!!!! I hate it, annoying people!!!!!!!!

I suppose it's better than looking older than I am, but it's just as aggravating seeing as how they're basing their opinions on my appearance.

I had a similiar experience when I went dress shopping!! Except I was happy to hear it!!!

I told my mom I didn't even look 31 when I had my dress on and my hair back, and the saleswoman said 'you're 31?? I thought you were 25 or 26!' Ha I was happy to hear that!!

And besides, there are girls who are getting married at 18!!! They shouldn't be surprised to see young brides!!! What did they expect? To see a bunch of 45 year olds??

That happens to me ALL the time, but I totally don't mind it!! I definitely take it as a compliment. It can get annoying when i'm carded at the movies (I don't look over 17 years old?!) and asked every 10 mins for my ID at the casino though. I'm 25... but most think i'm 19-22.

It happened to me too during wedding planning and I am 31, it happened on my wedding day at the salon as well, enjoy it although at times it can seem like a pain, vent away!!!!

to all those that say we'll enjoy it when we are older, walk a mile in my shoes!! try to be almost 30 and have people say i look 21 or 22. it gets annoying, especially when its from random people....

I hear you!! Im 24 and I get the same thing.. funny thing is, i work in a high school and the few times i walk in the hall without my faculty id i get asked if i have a hall pass!!!!

i'll be 24 this december, but people think i'm 18 years old(rarely wear makeup anymore), they think i'm the youngest(my sister is 18)

when i first started at my current job they thought i was the new grad asst.

a few weeks ago i ran into an old neighbor that had moved few years ago and she asks so hows your older sister, i'm like i am the oldest

but its ok, hopefully when i'm 40 i wont look a day over 25

ugh - i get that too! at a bridal show one of the vendors said to me 'aren't you kinda young to be getting married?' - ugh, I am 24! (and even if I were younger, it is so rude that he would say that!)

Geez. You guys should stop complaining. Try being 35 and having a bridal sales person callign you 'ma'am' and telling you 'its about time'. Count your blessings.

I feel like Im forever shopping for dresses. I always have weddings & affairs to go to so Im always in search of eveing gowns. I CANT EVEN TELL YOU how many times I get asked if Im looking for a dress for my prom. Hello?? I graduated HS in 1997
I mean I look young, but not THAT young. Oh well..

dont listen to what anyone says to you. people make stupid comments without thinking. actually you should be flattered that you look so young. that is a good thing.
