Is anyone waiting a few weeks after their wedding to go on their Honeymoon?

If so, are you doing anything special right after the wedding?

If so, are you doing anything special right after the wedding?

We may have to since my aunt's timeshare is being such a pain!!! We will stay in the hotel on Sunday night and drive home Monday, probably go to work on Tuesday and then leave for vacation Saturday.

All this for a free vacation!!!!

AND we are waiting almost a full year to go on our real honeymoon, a Mediterranean cruise, we want good weather.

We're waiting three weeks after our wedding to be able to go on our dream honeymoon, which is not sounding so bad after hearing your stories!

I was thinking of maybe, since we're getting married on a Friday, booking a quiet weekend away, maybe at a destination spa, or even Mohegan Sun, just so we have a little something right after, but I wasn't sure if it would be too much.

we are taking our HM in November/December, when work for both of us is a lot slower.

We did go to Mystic, CT for a few days following the wedding. It was really nice!

Our weddign is on Friday - and we have to go back to owrk on tuesday - then we leave on that friday on our HM! :)

Because of work, we have to take the honeymoon about a month after the wedding. At first we were upset, but now its nice b/c it will give us something to look forward to when the wedding stuff dies down. I don't think I can take monday off :(

We are getting married 10-30-05 and arent going on our HM until 12-25-05, due to Fh being a teacher and not being allowed to take off.

AS of now, we are going to stay at the Garden City Hotel for 2 days and then FH will go back to work on Wednesday..
