Tried on dresses for the first time!

I was worried but it was fun! I tried them on at David's Bridal on Old Country Road on Friday. It was nice because everything I got to try on was the correct size. I totally felt like I should be in a music box with one of them because it had SO MUCH tulle. Fun! Although I have to say I don't think I would actually buy my dress there. They were sooooo disorganized and I heard about at least 3 problems that different brides were having just in the amount of time I spent up in the front of the store. Yikes!

Re: Tried on dresses for the first time!

that must have been fun, but I have to suggest going to either Paradise in Patchogue or Fantasia in rocky Point. Those were the two I liked a lot. make appointments when you are searching for your gown. it makes it easier and they take the time to help you more that way.

Re: Tried on dresses for the first time!

Well I had called Macy's on Thursday to see if I could make an appointment of Friday since I was going in for a bridesmaid fitting at 1...and they were really rude and put me on hold forever and finally said all they had was a 6:45 so I said never mind. When I went there at 1 on Friday there was NO ONE there...it was a ghost town and I thought it was so stupid they wouldn't give me an appointment. Sorry for the vent!

Also, the woman that helped me at David's was no ray of sunshine, and she put away all the dresses right after I tried them so she didn't know the style numbers to write down at the end....except for the most expensive one of course.

Next time I will definitely go to the places you recommend...I was just trying for the convenience factor on Friday.

Re: Tried on dresses for the first time!

I suggest you try the David's Bridal on Northern Blvd. in Queens. I went with my sister to try on bm dresses and they were so nice there. Completely organized and helpful.
