OMG - is she crazy?

My FMIL had a very good experience at Commack Wedding Center. She is overweight and petite but found a lot of things there. She also really liked that all of the dresses were in plastic. I don't know how long they would take there though. You could call and ask!?!

Also, I noticed Estelle's had a lot of styles in Mother of the Bride also....

My Mom always has luck in Lord and Taylor for some reason. She got her dress at Lillette's (where I got mine)... but I don't think they can do 5 weeks!!!

Good luck!!!!!!!!!

Re: Where can you buy mother of the groom dresses off the rack?

My MIL bought her dress 3 days before the wedding at David's Bridal. However, Macy's has a good selection of Alex Evening dresses that are basiacally the same dresses David's carries...besides Estelle's, there's Nordstrom and Bloomingdales.

Definitely try Estelle's as the other girls posted. It's on Route 110 (right side if you're heading south from the LIE exit).

My mother got her dress there, and their prices are comparable to many places I visited in the city.

Re: Where can you buy mother of the groom dresses off the rack?

Estelle's I think is hit or miss, but has a wide enough selection. My mom got her gown there too.

Also, I def. agree with department stores like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales. Nordstrom is having their Anniversary Sale now, she should ck out the store and the website.

Re: Where can you buy mother of the groom dresses off the rack?

I am glad I am not the only one. My fmil has not gotten her dress either. She has looked but has not made a decision. I suggested she put a move on it, but it's not my problem, I am trying not to care...
