Thank Yous

I know this is not one of those things that you think of when your picking your photographer, but most times, the photographer offers the thank yous for free..Mine did, but I didnt think it was important to see what they looked like..and then 2 months after the wedding..when the proofs came back. He gave me the thank yous which were ugly and old fashioned..and when i asked if he had other ones, he said 'those are the best ones we have'!!. and the outside of the card did not match for the type of picture I wanted to send out So, I had to pick a photo I did not like as much, just so it would look better in the thank you! Lowsy right?

When your chatting with your photographer..ask to see what the thank yous look like. At least if you dont like them..you can shop elsewhere and buy ones you like..

Personally, I think the usual thank you cards are boring and plain ugly. And since Ive been photographer shopping, I see they are very expensive. Instead, I plan to take a picture we like from the wedding and go to ofoto.com (or another digital pic site) and have greeting cards made from the photo.
This option isnt cheap - about 2.00 per card but certainly comprable to the usual thank you.

Another couple of ideas I like that are cheaper include:

Thank Yous

We're getting thank you cards w/ our monogram that match our invitations and just getting the photos from the photographer. I always pulled the pic out of those ugly (sorry) thank yous anyway!

:)

Thank Yous

We are doing the same thing as Kathi - I ordered matching Thank You cards with our invitations and will just stick the pics in there, mainly because I also never really liked the ones the photographer gives you. Lee

Thanks

Never really thought twice about the 'ugly' thank yous. (and actually I've never gotten anything different) They serve their purpose. I keep the pictures in them to protect the picture.

Thank Yous

For a different approach, we are ordering our thank you's with our picture printed on them from our photographer. They will be black and white with certain touches hand colored. They look something like Kim Anderson's greeting cards (just with our pic instead of children!), and I think they are beautiful.
