Do you feel bad to go out and leave DH/DW home alone?

When DH and I lived on S.I. I rarely went out w/my friends because I felt bad to leave him home alone (his friends and family are from LI) and now that we live on L.I., he goes out with his friends and now I'm the one who's home alone. I mean I don't mind him going out with his friends it just $ucks that my friends and family are so far to just stop by or hang out for a few hours.

I do feel bad when I go out with my friends, but he doesn't actually mind at all! I hate being home alone at night, so even though it's hypocritical, I hate when he goes out without me.

I used to for the first five months. Now, not really. Sometimes, I feel bad and I stay in, but most of the time I will go out and do my own thing. He does the same now, which makes me feel better about doing so. I do hate being out without him though . Sometimes, he is busy, or he doesn't want to do what me and my friend's are doing.

It hardly happens with us...since he is in a band, he is always out and I am either with him or I'll go out with my friends...sometimes I get sad if I end of staying home but very rarely is it the opposite way for us.

We both leave each other ome occasionally. I don't think either of us feel bad leaving the other at home, but I do think we both miss each other if we're the one at home, but we would never tell/ask the other not to go out.

If Im out with friends I dont stay out as late because then I feel bad that hes home waiting for me and its the same for him if hes the one whose out. But we try to spend our free time together whenever possible. I think its more that we miss eachother than feel bad if one is out while the other is at home.

Honestly, I don't.
I think its important for relationships to have some 'time alone' with friends. I go, and know that if he needs to, he goes as well.

We are just a bit different because I always want to go out with friends, but DH would rather be home with me. So, sometimes he gets offended - but I go anyway

I have already taken 3 trips without him (twice to Florida and once to Vegas, mind you one trip to Florida was with HIS sisters) I feel horrible leaving him but if it were the other way around I would want him to go and have a good time. To answer your question, YES I feel bad but you have to make time for yourself as well as time with each other

no, not at all.

We both enjoy our space and alone time, so it works for us.
