dress pictures
Why don't salons allow you to take pics of the dresses you try on?Are there any salons that allow it? I would like to have the option of coming home after and taking itme to look at the dress pictures and really think about it.

Re: dress pictures
I took pics at Paradise bridal, even though they said I really wasnt 'supposed to' they didn't really care. The also told me they weren't 'supposed to' tell me the designer of the dress and told me that too.I think they have this rule so you don't take the pics elsewhere and get the dress for cheaper.

Re: dress pictures
I went to the Bay Shore Bridal salon last night and they let me take pictures. I'm not sure about anywhere else. I know exactly what you mean though. It would be really nice to lay out all of our favorite dresses and look at them next to one another.

Re: dress pictures
They don't want you to take pictures of the dresses so you can't go to another store and show it to them and get it cheaper or have someone else make it for you. They figure if their salespeople are taking time to help you find a dress and help you try on a bunch of them for an hour or two, they want to get your business. A lot of stores will also change the style number from the manufacturers so if you go looking for it elsewhere its harder to find.Of course, once you decide to buy it then they let you take as many pictures as you want.
Its usually easy enough to sneak a pic tho, especially if you have someone with you to distract the salesperson and another to take a pic. Just don't be too obvious about it if they clearly state that they don't allow it.

Re: dress pictures
I took pictures of my dress at Flowerama's Bridal Plaza in Queens - they didn't care much about it.

Re: dress pictures
I was only allowed to take pictures once we placed the order. The bridal shops don't want you to be able to copy the dress elsewhere (like try it on and then go to a dressmaker or something). I know that my bridal salon actually had a different style number on the dress than what the style number really is.
