Long Island Chapels
So am I to understand that there are only 2 options for non-denom or interfaith chapels in all of long island (historical and CW Post)?I am looking for a church setting feel without the religious mumbo jumbo and it is down right impossible. Any suggestions?!?!

Sorry, I should note that I live in Nassau so I want to stay as close the nassau border as possible.

Re: Long Island Chapels
Not to be a downer, but I wanted the same thing and couldn't find anything. Historical Chapel is too small ( holds 100), CW Post is closed on my date, and I called everywhere else I could think of, and no dice.I tried:
Molloy College (they have a chapel, thought I could use it, no, they won't allow any wedding there)
Hofstra
Adelphi
NCC
Any museum or historical society I could find
All the churches I talked to wanted me to talk to the pastor and have a religious ceremony.
I also asked officiants I was interviewing if they knew of anything
I asked the Riviera for suggestions, too
Bottom line: I got tired of people talking to me like I was crazy and I ran out of ideas. We're getting married at the hall.
I did limit myself to stuff within a reasonalble distance of the Riviera (the definintion of 'reasonable' got bigger and bigger) AND we're getting married in January, so anything outside was out of the question. I think you could try places like the aquarium in riverhead and the aboretums, etc. Also, there is the Long Island Art Museum on the North Shore (there was a reason they didn't work for us either, but I don't remember what it was).
Good luck and let me know if you find something I missed!!!!!!!!!!!!!
