Addressing Invites

Hi Girls!

If i am inviting a family with kids, how does the invitation get addressed?

Is it:

Outer Envelope:
The Smith Family

Inner Envelope:
Mark and Mary
Billy, Steve and Ann

Thanks girls! One more question - on the outer envelope do you put 'and guest' or does that just go on the inner envelope?

I would do:

Mr. and Mrs. Mark Smith and Family (outside envelope)

and list the names on the inside envelope.

Either way is fine but perhaps this is a bit more formal. Matter of preference or taste.

I would put:

Outside Envelope:
Mr. Joe Smith
123 Any Street
City, State Zip

Inside Envelope:

Mr. Joe Smith & Guest (or if you know the 'guest' well enough, you could put their name. It depends on how formal you want to be.
