Engagement Party Favors

Can anyone recommend a nice favor to give at an engagement party? Nothing too expensive but I don't want it to be cheap either.

If you have any photos of what you may have done for own favors (from your engagement party or wedding) I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Re: Engagement Party Favors

I gave out STD magnets for favors, and then I just got small organza bags and filled them with hershey kisses.

Re: Engagement Party Favors

I'm probably going to make this chocolate favor I saw. it's a heart shaped box with an engagement ring inside..all made of chocolate, of course! I make chocolate favors for weddings, showers and other parties,so that's alwyas the first thing that comes to mind!

During which season are you hvaing the party? Will there be a theme for the e-party and/or the wedding?

We are doing the same thing! But we are placing the STD magnets around the tables and putting the hershey kisses in a plastic flute glass that we are going to buy from oriental trading company, which BTW has bulks of stuff for really cheap, and wrapping the flutes in clear plastic wrap.

The engagement party is September 30th. There's not really a 'theme' but we are usuing sunflowers as the focus. I'd love to find inexpensive hand painted vases or little dishes with sinflowers on them.

Maybe someone can recommend an affordable place?

Thanks

Re: Engagement Party Favors

We're giving out a set of boxed heart shaped cookie cutters that say 'Cut out for Love' or something like that. We are also doing some type of candy/chocolate favor for the kids we're having at the party.

Re: Engagement Party Favors

Hi, I have my engagement party on 8/20/05 and we did personalized CD's with 13 songs that both of us loved. We paid $79.00 for 40 CD's. We didn't put our picture on it, I had the person put a great picture of a flowers, since roses is the flower theme. If you want the contact information for the person who did it for me, let me know and I'll give it to you.

Re: Engagement Party Favors

Thanks so much everyone.

What I have decided to do, is make my own favors. I found this idea on line and decided to make my own since I am in the graphics field.

I am also going to make homemade sunflower chocolates and put them in the boxes. It will take a while to do since I need to make 80 slices to make up 10 cakes (8 per cake and there's 10 tables) bit I have a onth and a half.

What does everyone think?
