wine/alcohol as favors?
Whose doing wine or some type of liquor as favors? Where did you order from? What was the cost? I'd love to do one of these but don't know where to start... or whether it fits with my budget. Thanks

Re: wine/alcohol as favors?
We ordered our wine from Pugliese since that's where we got engaged. Most wineries seem to give a per case discount, so we got 15% off. As far as price, it would depend on what wine you go with. I know there are some places that sell full bottles for $6 and others that go for much more.To cut costs, you could give one per couple rather than one per person as well. Hope this helps

We ended up not doing it for ours, but maybe to cut costs, you can also get half-bottles instead of full bottles?

Re: wine/alcohol as favors?
I'm actually doing those for my wedding next year.......The Vineyard Caterers has them for like 6$ a bottle, but I went to a liquor store and they sell little mini bottles for about 2 bucks! So I think I'm going to go with the 2$ bottles and I've been coming up with different ideas for the labels.........so I think I'll just have them printed. I just have to make sure that it's okay with the Vineyard to bring outside liquor into the hall.
If you come up with any good ideas or have any questions, please let me know! Good Luck!

Re: wine/alcohol as favors?
I do have more questions! 2$ a bottle -- that is AWESOME. What type of wine? And what store? Though I've probably never been looking for 1/2 bottles, I'm not sure I've ever seen them. I totally think making labels is doable! Will you put them over the existing label -- or scrape the existing off?

Re: wine/alcohol as favors?
I was in the Stew Leonards Wine/Liquor Store in Airport Plaza in Farmingdale not to long ago and they have them there....the types were Sutter Home and Beringer, but no body will know what type of wine b/c there will be no label. I'm going to see if they can be ordered without lables, if not....I tried taking the label off myself and it came off without a problem at all! So we shall see!

Re: wine/alcohol as favors?
i looked into, and will probably use, pindars 'autumn' wine, it goes perfectly with our fall theme. they sell for i think 8 or 9 per bottle, the winery was offering me 15% off, i found a liquor store who was going to give them to me for 5.37 per bottle! we are going to do one per couple, i am also thinking about using them as the placecards for everyone (my hall wont let me do the votive ones
) we'll see! Welcome New Vendors
