Mini Review of the Watermill

One of my good friends got married at the Watermill on Friday! She looked gorgeous, and luckily the rain held off.
Everything looked beautiful at the cocktail hour and during the reception. The food at the cocktail hour was good, but they didn't make very good frozen drinks. It tasted like flavored syrup with some alcohol . Also, they had the seafood boat (a big extra cost) and there were no crackers for people to use to open up the lobster claws. Everyone struggled, and most just gave up . On the mozzarella and tomato table, although they sliced some, they left whole tomatoes and balls of cheese with a knife. Most people had to cut their own.
Most of the staff was friendly, but there was one woman in particular who was pissed to be working there. She kept slopping food on people's plates and muttering to herself. She even yelled. Yes, yelled at a guest for cutting the line. I guess some people have issues.
Our waitress inside was great. She kept coming around with drinks throughout the night. The food was good, but the rolls were rock hard. They also had vianesse trays. The cookies and pastries were good. They also gave you whole pieces of fruit like pears, apples, and oranges. I think people would have eaten more if they were sliced in quarters.They got their cake through The Watermill, and it was stunning!! I have pics, but they are on the FH's camera. I'll try to post them shortly.
Overall, we had a great time, and danced until they threw us out. Hope this helps any Watermill brides.

so sad to hear about the rude waitress, since i used to be one , that stinks that they have people working there like that!
Glad the place is still as beautiful as always!
