Details of my week off- We bought our wedding rings! With FIXED pics!

Hello ladies!

I missed all of you last week. It was a bad week to take vacation. It rained for 4 days straight! On Sat-Sun (6/25-6/26) John and I participated in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Thanks to your support, our team raised over $6000! Overall the event raised $100,000! I had the honor of watching John walk in the Survivor's Lap and then walking with him in the Caregiver's Lap. I also had the privildege of reading his name, my grandmother's name, and grandfather's name during the Luminaria ceremony. I don't think I have ever been prouder of John. The first is a pic of John & I doing the Caregiver's lap. The second is of me telling him how proud of him I am.

Finally it posted!

Ok, the rest of the week was sucky... it rained for 4 days... so much for the beach! Also, there have been a ton of family issues that I have had to deal with, which completely put a damper on my relaxing week. I am still really upset but am trying to cope with the fact that I have no control over what happens in life.

On Wed., we went into the city and had my e-ring resized. No more guard!! I found out that I am actually a whole size smaller than I thought. We also ordered our wedding bands!! I was so excited... they gave us a really good deal since we also got my e-ring there. The rings won't be ready for 6 weeks, so I don't have any actual pics. However, once it is ready I am going to take pics. I got an eternity band (I never thought I wanted one!) and John's ring also has diamonds. Here are pics of what they will look similar to. John's ring has a milgrain texture (I think that is what it is called) above the diamonds.

I also went bridesmaid dress shopping but I think that will have to be a different post. All I can say is it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be!

wow Hollie- that's fantastic- bravo to you as a caregiver-NOT an easy job by any means, and Congrats, best wishes, and most of all GOOD HEALTH to John!

OOHHH I see them- beautiful! I think my fh is looking for something like that as well.

your's is gorgeous- I love eternity bands, but I have to get one that matches my e-ring (antique)
