Tux Question--Men's Warehouse
Does anyone have any experience with the Men's Warehouse for Wedding Tux rentals. We were thinking of using them but wanted feedback first.

Re: Tux Question--Men's Warehouse
they have great prices, and many locations, so it would be easy for the guys to get there on their own time, but i went there with my fiance and it was very busy, so it didn't feel personal. also, they didn't have a great selection of styles. they did have a huge selection of colors, though. he ended up getting his tux at dante tux in westbury.

Re: Tux Question--Men's Warehouse
We are getting the tuxes from Men's Warehouse in Plainview for 3 of the guys, then out in patchogue for the rest of the guys. we went with them because they have many locations and my brother has a newborn baby and i didn't want him to have to drive out all the way to plainview from medford when he needed to see the tux place. plus the price was very good. $89.99 is covering EVERYTHING including shoes and cufflinks and all that stuff.we wanted very simple tuxes. i don't really know about thier selection because we weren't looking for anything special. but i would recommend them just based on the price and the fact that they have many locations. i can have more feedback after the wedding which is in 2 weeks.

Re: Tux Question--Men's Warehouse
ok great. We do have guys from LI, Queens, Staten Island and NJ. So i didn't realize that you can go to any of the Men's Warehouse locations. Do they have it in the computers of what you picked out so everyone can get the same thing?

Re: Tux Question--Men's Warehouse
Yea, the groom should go in first. They'll give him a group number and put everything under the party name. Then when the other guys go in they don't even have to worry about picking out the colors or anything like that, they just give the group number and name and they are able to pull everything up in the system.

Re: Tux Question--Men's Warehouse
We are using them too. So far everything is great, especially since we have a lot of OOT GM. They can pick up and return the Tuxes at ANY Men's Warehouse they want!! My FH is ordering his tux in VA, and then picking it up in NY so he doesn't have to travel with it!! I'll let you know how it turns out after August 6th!!

Re: Tux Question--Men's Warehouse
Sure. If you think you'd enjoy the stress of having your FH and a groomsman receive the wrong pants two days before the wedding, causing your entire schedule the day before your wedding being tossed to the wind because you had to wait hours for the new pants to arrive, sure, use them.

Re: Tux Question--Men's Warehouse
I went to the one @ Forest Hills, Queens with my FH when he first was deciding on tuxes. We were basically looking at a catalog for almost an hour. No one helped us at all. When my FH decides on a tux, I go up and ask a salesperson if he can try the tux on. The salesperson said no, that all they do is catalog ordering.
I wonder if any of you has had a similar experience or if not trying tuxes on @ Men's Wearhouse is standard practice.

Re: Tux Question--Men's Warehouse
HORRIBLE!!! My wedding was yesterday so this is a recent experience with the location in Forest Hills.1) When my DH and his father went to pick up the tuxes 2 days before the wedding, DH's tux was too big (pants too long and jacket sleeves too long), FIL's vest was the wrong size.
2) When my I went to pick up my step father't tux, they couldnt find it and once they did it was all wrinkled (they were supposed to have pressed it because he had tried it on the day before and it fit fine)
3) Yesterday, MORNING OF THE WEDDING, DH notices that they didn't give him his shirt - luckily he was able to go there and get it but ***!
4) My FIL and MIL checked into the hotel before the wedding and were getting dressed at 4:30 because they had to be at the hall at 5:15... FIL sees that they did not give him PANTS!!!! This was 45 min before he was supposed to be at the hall for photos!!! We all freaked out but one of the aunts was able to go back to the store and get the pants and literally fly her way through long island traffic to get the Carlyle - unfortunately in all of this we were delayed with taking photos before the ceremony and ended up missing our cocktail hour because we had to take the photos then,
I don't know how the service is at other locations - I was surprised at what happened to us because several of my friends have used this location and everything went smoothly. I give MW a big fat F!

This story sounds familiar...oh wait..i did that.
this is common for the last poster...they order sizes from central warehouse and ship it prior to the event (this was huntington and a couple other local ones)

You couldn't try on the exact tux but he tried on a tux they had there to get his size.

We ordered from Plainview too & DH & FIL picked there's up in Scarsdale & a GM got his somehwere in Illinios.
We picked from the catalog & DH & his BM did try things on, I am not sure if it was the exact tux, but they tried them on when they measured them.
We didn't really have any problems , except It hink tey didnt' call when they were ready & sometimes it was hard to get the tux guy on the phone--the rest of the staff doesn't deal with tuxes at all.
