Can you dye a bridesmaid dress black after you are done with it (like with shoes)?

So I wore a very nice pink dress in a wedding I was a bridesmaid in, and if it was black, I could totally get away with wearing it again. I know you can have dyeable shoes dyed black after you wore them as another color, does the same apply to dresses?

if so, anyone know where I could have it done?

OMG I never realized you can re-dye dyables
