one of my colleague is, she's having her reception on a river boat and her cake is blue frosting with seashell design, so cute!

i love the cake idea, i am going to have seashells on mine too, never thought of blue icing though, thats reallly cute.

We are doing a beach theme... not total beach theme but some stuff since we're getting married on the water and taking all our pics on the beach!

Shell placecard holders OR sanddollars as placecards
Gifts for BM's will prob be flip flops, tanks, etc...
Invites: we saw cute ones w/ a shell on them
Cake will have shells on it probably

i love that guest book, i have a whole year and its probably gonna take that long to get all these beach ideas in order, so many i want to do.

where on the water are you gettting married, at clm too? are you taking pics at a beach near there? i want to take beach pics, but we are getting married at clm too, no time in between, unless we miss our cocktail hour

hello! i am having my wedding at an aquarium, so i am definitely doing an ocean/beachy theme! the fish will be our most obvious beach themed decor. we will also do centerpieces of glass bowls (or big brandy glasses) filled with white play sand and shells and candles, will cost us $8-15 to make ourselves). we might scatter a few mini shells/starfish on the tables. we found cute favors - champagne glass gel candles with shells in them at a candle factory in bohemia ($3 each plus 50 cents to add personalized ribbon and wrap). i am going to order it as soon as i get a dress so i know to order white or ivory. atlantis supplies beautiful cakes with chocolate shells (they look so real) on it. we might make a treasure chest card box with shells on in. there is so much you can do with this theme, have fun with it!

There is a beach right near CLM. It is on the bay, but you can get the beach pictures. It is called Venetian Shores.

There is a beach right near CLM. It is on the bay, but you can get the beach pictures. It is called Venetian Shores.

Can you get on that beach? do you need a permit like is it only for people in Lindenhurst?

You need a permit if you go early in the day. After 3:00 or so they stop checking stickers. It is a Town of Babylon Beach. I will find out information about limos without permits for you. It's just a small beach on the bay, but it is very nice.

Yes we are getting married at CLM! We are actually taking pics before the ceremony, since it's at 7:30pm. We are taking the beach pics at Long Beach on the boardwalk and beach since it's right near my house!!! Our photographer also might take us to a really nice park so we have variety.

thats awesome, i want to take our engagement shots at long beach, thats where we had our first apartment right on the boardwalk, i am debating whether we should jsut take some shots before the ceremony.

Any pics of venetian shores. I need a place asap! I decided not to take pics on the pier. I can take pics until about 10:00. Can I pay if I dont have a permit to get into this park?

my sister is getting married at Gurney's, the ceremony is on the sand, cocktail hour on the deck and reception inside, then back to the beach for a bonfire...here are some of the things she's doing:

1. pew bows with seashells in the middle of the ribbon
2. dolphin bottle openers as favors
3. the place cards are going to be stuck into mini tin pails with sand in them that are on a table that is covered in sand and driftwood
4. beaches as table names instead of numbers
5. the centerpieces are hurricane lamps with candles inside that have shells and pearls on them
6. sand ceremony in place of unity candle
7. her invitations were white with a platinum borders of sea shells and a ribbon, with blue writing.
8. the cake will be sand colored with seashells made of icing on it.....
9. the petals cones are doilies that are sealed with stickers of sea creatures-conch shells, dolphins, etc.....

I think that's it....I had really wanted her to have fish bowls filled with goldfish as her centerpieces, but she didn't know how the guests would get them home.....
