Are you making babysitter arrangements for OOT guests.

I was thinking of setting up 2 or 3 babysitters for the evening. ALL of my family is OOT, and I can't imagine they will all be able to get sitters for the weekend. I have 6 brothers, all with young children. Has anyone done this, and did oyu have the sitters at the hotel, or the reception hall...just not sure how to tackle this one.

Ideas?????

Re: Are you making babysitter arrangements for OOT guests.

I'm currently looking for a babysitter for Fh younger cousin. His family is out of town and his aunt and uncle want to bring him to Long Island and have a babysitter watch him while they are to the reception so that way they can leave the next morning for their vacation.
I contacted my hotel about this and they haven't called me back yet. I really don't know who to ask because all of my younger cousins that are not attending will be watched by family members on their dad's sides.
I don't know who else to ask. I'm at a loss also

Re: Are you making babysitter arrangements for OOT guests.

Bump

I also would like to provide a sitter somewhere so I dont offend anyone with an 'Adults Only' reception.

This way people will use their best judgement when considering bringing kids.

Anyone have any ideas?? how does it work out? Also, could it actually encourage people to bring their kids when they would otherwise arrange for the kids to stay home anyway?

Re: Are you making babysitter arrangements for OOT guests.

I am having a babysitter at the reception. THe kids can stay at the party but if any of them get tired or bored she can take them to the bridal suite where we will have a portable DVD player set up and they will have games (I got them each a rubbermaid box and filled it with crayons, card games and little hand held stuff) The sitter will also get them sodas, take them to the bathroom and cut up food.

I asked my cousins gf's friends (she is 16) but they couldn't do it. So my mom asked the daughter of one of friends from work (the mom is coming to the wedding) She couldn't do it but her friend could.
